Loewe launches FW23 men's campaign with Jamie Dornan, Omar Apollo

Loewe has unveiled its FW23 Men´s campaign starring acclaimed singer and songwriter Omar Apollo and Golden Globe-nominated actor Jamie Dornan. 

Renowned photographer David Sims captures a campaign that delves into the enigmatic world of reduced aesthetics and surreal ambiances.

The images exude an ethereal quality, shrouded in blurred ambiances that erase spatial features to allow the focus to be entirely on the velvet, leathers, and felts of the garments and accessories.

Drawing inspiration from classical allegorical paintings, group shots feature a trio of models with copper and paper wings reclining with arms on a table in poses reminiscent of Renaissance art. These compositions pay homage to artist Julien Nguyen, whose work served as a major inspiration for the FW23 collection, creating a seamless connection between contemporary fashion and timeless artistic references.

The campaign also features striking still life images showcasing bags and shoes, including the Puzzle Fold tote, Terra Chelsea boots, and derbies. Linking the men's campaign with the women's, Loewe turns the idea of reduction into a captivating and uncanny image-making technique. 

Jamie Dornan has recent Golden Globe and Critics' Choice nominations for 'Belfast' (2021) and a BAFTA nomination for 'The Fall'. His upcoming projects include the Netflix film 'Heart of Stone' and the 'The Haunting of Venice'. 

Likewise, Omar Apollo, the rising star of pop music, released his debut album 'Ivory' in 2022, earning a Best New Artist nomination at the 65th Grammy Awards in 2023.
